Condition Analysis
A perfect Datejust. This 1601 is in good condition for its age. A clean example with a rare grey dial. The dial does have aging around the edge of the pie-pan. The lume on the dial and hands are still all intact and have gained a very nice cream patina. The case has nice and even lugs that are very clean.

Curator Thoughts
The 1601 is a great start to any Rolex obsession or a perfect addition to a well-put-together collection. Featuring a pie pan dial, the 1601 has a nice vintage feel to it while still showing a sense of sophistication. From two-tone Sigma dials to all steel blue dials, the 1601 has so many fun configurations. On top of that, the prices are great, and the 36mm case wears like a dream. This one's a bit more special because of its very clean grey dial which you don't often see.
