Before the sapphire crystal and update movement in the 16233 was the 16013. similar but older, the vintage 16013 features an acrylic crystal and some dials that can not be found on the newer models. Yes the 16013 does not have a sapphire crystal but that’s what vintage rolex was all about.
The tapestry dial is one of the coolest dials when it comes to vintage Rolex. The way light bounce off the Vertical lines throughout the dial is crazy! Two tone Rolex models are staples, but with a tapestry dial like this, it makes it so much better.
