Case: The case size is 29 by 37mm. It is ultra slim at 4.9mm in 18K yellow gold. The unpolished case still shows its sharp hallmarks on the case back. 

Dial: A crisp white dial with black Roman numerals. The white dial has a gloss finish and is in perfect condition. Paired with black leaf hands and a clean date window at 3. The date execution is perfect, a minimal design that does not take away from the watch's simplicity. The hour markers and logo are slightly raised with a gloss black finish.

Strap & Buckle: The watch has its original black Audemars Piguet strap and solid gold buckle.

Audemars Piguet as a brand is one of the top players in the watch world and that's mainly thanks to the Royal Oak. That's not to say Audemars Piguet is only good at one thing. The brand has a vast history that includes much more than the Royal Oak. Before their popular sports dress watch, Audemars Piguet was at the top, making some of the most beautiful dress watches. Ultra slim manual movements, perpetual calander, and so much more. The brand is so much more than just their sports watches, and a lot of people forget about that these days.

With that being said, here is a beautiful Dress watch, which is something everyone should have in their collection. Also known as a cocktail watch, a piece like this is meant to be small and thin; also solid gold for most examples. It doesn’t get much better than owning a clean example of an Audemars Piguet for under $5000. 

This specific example houses the Caliber 2612 by Audemars Piguet. The same small and thin movement is found in the quartz Royal Oaks from this era. The brand mainly used this movement for two models, the ROyal Oak and these ultra slim dress watches.
