The reference 56175 is a perfect example. At 33mm and powered by a quartz movement, it belongs to an era when Audemars Piguet was willing to reinterpret the Royal Oak in smaller and considerably more elegant forms.
The 56175SP takes that idea a step further through its use of a solid platinum bezel. Rather than the familiar brushed steel octagonal bezel, the polished platinum creates a noticeably dressier appearance while retaining the architecture that makes a Royal Oak immediately recognizable. That effect is amplified by the dial. The black surface is punctuated by applied gold Roman numerals at six and nine, gold baton markers, and a matching handset. Against the platinum bezel and steel case and bracelet, those small warm-metal details give the watch an unusual amount of personality.
