The Calatrava 3919, launched in 1985, replaced the previous model, the Calatrava reference 3520. Despite being larger, the 3919 has a 33.5 mm case and is available in three gold shades: 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold, and 18k rose gold. The 3919 is notable for its "Clou de Paris" guilloché bezel, featuring double layers of mini pyramid accents and straight lugs for attaching the leather strap. The watch is designed to fit under any shirt sleeve and features a manual-wound Caliber 215 PS movement, providing around 44 hours of power reserve. The watch features a clean and symmetrical dial with traditional black Roman numerals, a small seconds sub-dial, and leaf-style hour and minute hands. The hands are made from white gold but are black nickel-plated for a darker color. The 3919 is designed to be easily slip-resistant and can be worn under any shirt.
