1987 Rolex Date 15053 Gold Engine Turn Bezel

Curator Thoughts
The Rolex Date makes for the perfect daily watch and an even better entry point into Rolex. Featuring an automatic movement you'd find in a vintage datejust, the reference 15053 is the 16013's little brother. What we love about this reference is the rarity, you don't really ever find this in the wild. The best part is the champagne dial and two-tone configuration make this 34mm Date wear bigger.
Condition Analysis
The case lugs are still very even and thick but could have been lightly polished in the past. The bracelet has normal signs of wear corresponding to the watch's age. The bezel itself is in good shape with no significant dents. The dial itself is in great condition with no signs of wear including the tritium lume. The hands are in good condition with some cracking in the tritium of the hour hand. The serial is an R serial for this watch and the buckle code is stamped 'E'.
