Condition Analysis
This Date-Day is ready to go. The case is in excellent condition with light signs of wear. The lugs are nice and thick with the gold fluted bezel turning to a rosy tone. For a vintage blue dial, the condition is outstanding. The dial has very little wear with some marks near the center of the dial and some lume degradation. The watch is fitted on a handmade French strap. As always, all our watches keep great time with this example being no exception.

Curator Thoughts
Tudor has always been the brand that experimented with Rolex designs. If you wanted a two-tone or steel Day-Date with an original Rolex case, you'd go for a Tudor. The same goes for Datejusts, Submariners, and so on. The vintage era of Tudor is full of models with Rolex Oyster cases but more daring designs and out of all of them, this is the top for me. This is the one that only Tudor did, the one you'll never be able to own with the famous 'Crown' stamped on the dial. It's not the Day-Date feature in a two-tone case. It's the 38mm Rolex Oyster Case nicknamed the 'Jumbo'. It is honestly so special to wear a true Rolex Oyster case in 38mm, there is nothing like it. If you haven't yet, you need to experience these vintage jumbo cases.
What better example to experience this case size with then this Oysterdate? A well-preserved blue dial, the corky switch of 'Date-Day' on the dial, and a fun Spanish date window at 12.
