Free

Model: Les Historiques Ref. 43039

Movement: Automatic VC Cal. 1120, derived from the JLC Cal. 920

Year: Circa 1998

Contents: Watch Only

Case: The white gold case is 35 x 38 mm and in fantastic condition with normal signs of wear. The see-through caseback showcases the beautifully engraved rotor on the 1120. The watch also has 'Chambellan' engraved on the case back on the bottom for the limited edition release from 1998.

Dial: This is a stunning cream dial with offset Roman numerals, which signify it is a limited edition 43039. The dial also features the Sigma stamp at 6 o'clock and leaf hands. It is in great condition with no signs of wear. It's one of those dials you need to see in person. It's simple but executed perfectly, making it a dream on the wrist.

Strap & Buckle: The watch has our own Belgium Strap with the original VC solid gold buckle.

The Chambellan reference 43039 was introduced in 1998 as a limited release for the 30th anniversary of the caliber 1120. The ultra-slim automatic movement was derived from the JLC Caliber 920. An important movement, the caliber 920 was used by VC but also Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet. This same movement powered the Royal Oak and Nautilus.

This example is in white gold. It is said that only 200 of the Chambellan VCs were made, and only 80 were in white gold. The regular production 43039s could be found with full Roman numeral dials, while the limited release has a dial with both Roman and stick markers.
